What Is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a noninvasive treatment that has been FDA approved to diminish lines and wrinkles of the décolletage and to lift the skin of the brow, under the chin, and on the neck. The procedure uses focused ultrasound waves to boost collagen production in the deeper layers of skin. Because it also incorporates ultrasound imaging, Ultherapy allows practitioners to view the tissue layers they are treating for optimal delivery of the ultrasound energy.

How does Ultherapy work?

In an Ultherapy procedure, focused ultrasound energy is delivered to the foundational layer of the skin (the layer typically addressed in plastic surgery) without damaging or disrupting the surface of the skin. The right amount of energy is delivered at the right depth to heat the area to a precise temperature to stimulate a natural healing response. This jumpstarts a regenerative process that includes accelerated collagen production.

The Brow Lift

The Lip Lift

The lip lift includes the area surrounding the mouth where we often see fine lines forming. Lifting and tightening the skin around mouth can even make the lips look fuller. We often use ultherapy prior to filler in an aging lip to support additional volume and maintaining a natural appearance. The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. Slight swelling may be present along the upper lip for 48 hours.

The Chin Tuck

A focused treatment to firm up the skin just under the chin. A double chin occurring later in life responds extremely well to our intensive lifting and tightening treatment. This treatment is also an excellent compliment to CoolSculpting mini under the chin. The chin tuck treatment takes just under an hour and has minimal to no downtime.

How is Ultherapy procedure performed?

At our luxurious facility, comfort is always a priority. Before your procedure begins, we will take the necessary steps to make your treatment comfortable. We will then clean and apply ultrasound gel to the treatment areas.

We place the Ultherapy device against your skin, using ultrasound imaging to adjust the settings of the device. Ultrasound energy is delivered to the targeted areas to jumpstart collagen production, to lift and tighten the skin over time. Depending on the number of areas treated, an Ultherapy treatment requires about 90 minutes to complete.

What does Ultherapy treatment feel like?

No, it does not completely replace the need for fillers and Botox, but the two treatments complement each other. Instead, we prefer to lift with ultherapy and fill hollowing with facial fillers for the most natural looking result. Think of Ultherapy as the foundation.
