There is no downtime with THERMIsmooth Body, and patients may return to regular activities directly after treatment.

Some patients have slight soreness for a few days after treatment. While early results may be seen immediately, more dramatic results will become apparent 3 to 6 months after your final treatment. You can expect to see final results at 9 to 10 following your last treatment.

Before the treatment begins, your skin will be marked to help guide your specialist. Once this has been done, you’ll be made comfortable on a medical spa chair and cream will be applied to the area to help the electrode pass over the skin more easily. A handheld device will be gently massaged over the treatment areas, administering radiofrequency heat energy directly into the skin. Most patients love the feeling during treatment, and compare it to a hot stone massage. The THERMIsmooth Body platform will auto-adjust the temperature to ensure optimal results. Treatment time lasts approximately 15 to 30 minutes, and we typically recommend 4 to 6 treatments scheduled two weeks apart.
