SkinPen microneedling

At ZL Medspa, we use the only FDA-approved, medical grade microneedling device on the market: SkinPen. This advanced device creates controlled micro-wounds to trigger the body’s natural injury-healing process, which release growth factors to make brand-new collagen and elastin. Most patients see results approximately 2 to 4 weeks following treatment, with final results appearing after six months. We recommend 3 to 6 SkinPen treatments, scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart.

SkinPen treatment details

A SkinPen treatment typically takes about 30 minutes to one hour. A topical numbing agent may be used to make you more comfortable during treatment. The handheld device houses twelve stainless steel microneedles which can be adjusted by your specialist. Most patients find the treatment very tolerable, and only describe a feeling of vibration during the procedure. You can expect your skin to be red for about 24 hours after treatment.

Aquagold

Aquagold fine touch microinfusion is a treatment that administers hyaluronic acid and fillers such as Botox®, hyaluronic acid, PRP, and vitamins into the top layers of the skin in order to create a smoother texture with reduced pore size. The Aquagold device is comprised of incredibly delicate, gold-plated needles that help minimize any discomfort during treatment and allow event the smallest areas to be addressed. The result is a smoother, brighter complexion which appears in 3 to 7 days and lasts up to four months.

HALO laser treatments

As the first hybrid fractional laser, HALO™ combines two different wavelengths (micro-ablative and non-ablative) in one laser device. Both the epidermis and the dermis can be treated simultaneously, and 25% to 30% of the skin can be resurfaced.

This means better results without the downtime that comes with more aggressive laser treatments. Not only does HALO improve uneven skin texture; it also triggers the production of brand-new collagen growth, which assists in smoother, healthier-looking skin.

HALO treatment details

Before treatment, a topical numbing agent will be applied, and you’ll also be given protective eyewear. Once you’re properly numbed, the treatment will begin. Many patients describe the handheld device as feeling like a “roller ball” passing along the skin. There will be a hot sensation on your skin, but very tolerable. It doesn’t hurt, but we can offer cooling packs if you prefer. In addition, cooling cream will be applied after treatment to help calm your skin.

HALO treatments take 1 to 2 hours, including the time it takes for the topical numbing agent to work. Common side effects include mild swelling and redness, the sensation of a sunburn, dry/rough skin, and tiny dark spots or discoloration on the skin. These are all normal, and temporary. Most patients return to normal activities the day following treatment, and see improved skin texture after only 1 or 2 treatments.

Laser hair reduction

Using the power of Broadband Light™, the Forever Bare BBL laser offers a quick, incredibly comfortable, and a highly effective method for hair removal in a number of places, and on a number of different skin types. It features customizable dual light delivery, and can be adjusted to the sensitivity of each treatment area. Hair reduction with BBL Forever Bare is approximately 90% to 95% permanent.
