Longer, thicker lashes with Latisse

There’s nothing like lovely lashes to enhance the eyes. At ZL Medaesthetics, we’re happy to offer Latisse® treatments to those who are seeking to improve their short, thin, or light lashes and boost their lashes — and their confidence.

Uniquely formulated for individuals who have short or sparse lashes, Latisse has been FDA-approved to elevate lashes by lengthening, thickening, and darkening them.

This treatment is applied once a day, at the base of the top eyelid (a lot like applying eye liner to the upper eyelid). There’s no need to apply Latisse to the lower eyelid, because the product disperses upon blinking. Most patients see a difference in about one month.

How Latisse works

Scientists believe that Latisse’s active ingredient (bimatoprost) works by keeping eyelash hair follicles in their growth phase for a longer period of time and encourages more hairs to grow from the eyelid.

FAQ

How is Latisse applied?

Latisse is applied to the edge of the top eyelid in order to avoid direct contact with the eyeball. Do not put it directly into your eyeball, or along your lower lash line. Latisse needs to be applied once per day, for 16 weeks.

Are there any side effects?

The most common side effect with Latisse is red and/or itchy eyes. Some patients also experience darkening along the upper eyelash line. Latisse may also cause a darkened color to your eye color if administered incorrectly.

When will I see results?

Depending on how quickly your lashes naturally grow, Latisse may take up to four months. Once you’re happy with the results, you can cut back and only apply Latisse twice a week for maintenance.

Good candidates for Latisse

Latisse is an excellent option for nearly anyone who wants to enhance their short, sparse, or light-colored eyelashes. However, Latisse should not be used if:

  • You’re taking certain antibiotics or heart medications
  • You have certain eye conditions
  • You have certain allergies
  • You have a skin infection on your eyelids
  • You are pregnant
