What is VISIA?

VISIA® Skin Analysis is an advanced skin evaluation system that examines the skin on a deep level using a multi-spectral view. In our opinion, this machine is the best way to assess your skin and formulate the ideal skincare treatment for your specific needs.

Different than anything else available, the VISIA system examines the skin not only on a surface level, but also at a deep level (0.5 mm into the skin) in order to assess damage that is invisible to the naked eye. After capturing photographs of your face from the left, right, and center, the VISIA machine will reveal the true age of your skin, categorize it, and display problem areas on both a surface level and a sub-dermal level. VISIA also stimulates an age progression image for you.

Did you know that your skin can age faster than the rest of your body? It can, and is based on your unique skin type and your environment. VISIA not only tells you the true age of your skin; it also shows you hidden problem areas of your skin that are invisible to the human eye, such as UV damage and textural issues. Because immediate treatment of these issues can prevent them from becoming worse, it’s very important to see and understand these hidden problems early on.

What is a VISIA session like?

We will ask that you arrive to your VISIA session without any makeup on. This will allow the machine to properly evaluate your skin. You will be given a protective drape to wear, and you may push your hair back with a hairband so that clear images can be captured of your face from the left, right, and center.

The machine will scan your face and take a series of different photos with different lighting in order to analyze your skin on multiple levels. Once the photos have been captured, they will be transmitted to the computer screen, where we will go over them with you.

We will interpret the results for you and customize a treatment plan based on the VISIA system’s findings regarding your current skin condition, from the top layer to deep within.

The last step of your VISIA appointment is for our specialists to make recommendations based on the results. These recommendations will become your treatment plan, and may include services such as cosmetic injectables, laser treatments, or simple skincare products to add to your beauty regimen. The goal is for us to show you what’s going on with your skin and give you our suggestions on how to best address it or take care of it.
