Anti-Aging with Facial Fillers

Genetics, excess sun exposure, and other environmental factors can affect the look and feel of your skin. Facial fillers are the perfect solution to:

  • Soften wrinkles and fine lines
  • Fill in recessed scars from acne or injuries
  • Plump thin lips or enhance lip definition
  • Improve the appearance of bags or shadows beneath the eyes
  • Restore symmetry to imbalanced facial features

Facial fillers can ward off the need to undergo more extensive procedures, or can be combined with other treatments to improve your skin’s texture and radiance. Fillers can even provide a non-surgical alternative to a facelift or eyelid surgery. You can experience similar results with no incisions, no scarring, and little to no downtime.

Cheek Contouring

A sculpted and lifted midface provides support to the undereye area as well as lifting of the lower structures to the face such as the folds around the mouth. The same concept of using makeup to contour with highlights and shadowing can be applied to using fillers in the cheek area. Hollowing and loss of fat pads during the aging process creates shadows and a tired appearance. Careful placement along the cheek bone ensures a natural and slimming effect, not a “chimunk cheek” appearance. Typical fillers Laura Zimmerman NP uses are Restylane Lyft and Juvederm Voluma along the and often last 1-2 years.

Cheek and Jawline Sculpting

A defined jawline balances the facial profile. Often with aging, we develop “jowls” or sagging of skin along the jawline. Stategic placement of filler along the chin and jawline creates a sleek, defined, and youthful profile. Men and women of all ages seek filler for chin and profile balancing. An enhanced chin involves placing of filler to elongate or project the chin to balance one’s proportions.

Tear trough Correction

Many men and women are bothered by a tired appearance, often a result of dark under eye circles. The undereye area is a complex area and correction is achieved with a combination of therapies. One treatment is placing filler into the region. Filler will lift sunken skin and soften hollowing. Tear trough injections require meticulous placement using advanced injection techniques and careful selection of an appropriate filler. Laura Zimmerman NP uses microcannulas to place the filler in this very delicate area. The microcannulas technique ensures minimal trauma or bruising to the area. The type of filler used and the depth of placement are paramount to the success of the treatment. Laura Zimmerman uses Belatero and Restylane in these areas to avoid risk of filler swelling, migration, or subsequent darkening in the area. Most injections are done in 2 sessions to avoid adequate correction, never puffy or overfilled results.

Lip Injections

Filler placed in the lips and around the lips provides for a hydrated and smooth appearance. Many women are bother by lines around the lips, often referred to as “smokers lines” and can form over time even if one has never smoked. Artfully placed lightweight filler can erase these lines without weighing down the top lip. Many women fear that lip filler will result in the “duck lip” or “trout pout”. Fortunately, with improvement in fillers and injection techniques, disproportional and unbalnced lips are not something clients of ZL should fear. Laura Zimmerman NP is known for her meticulously crafted natural looking lips, all done with microcannulas and nerve blocks to ensure a painlessly perfect result. About Facial Fillers: How They Work

Each brand of dermal filler works differently, and is appropriate for certain facial problems. The makeup of the product performs in a specific way:

Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance with both medical and cosmetic applications, and serves to attract and hold moisture for plumper, more hydrated skin. It occurs naturally in the body, and is an element in some injectable fillers. This product is primarily used to treat wrinkles, lines, and depressions in the skin.

A customized plan for you

If you are interested in receiving filler injections, a consultation is necessary. During your consultation, you will meet with Laura Zimmerman NP who will discuss your treatment goals and expectations and formulate a customized plan which may include a range of injectables, energy based technology, and skin treatments. Similar to designing an exquisite evening gown, your treatment is tailored to best enhance your facial features in the most natural manner possible. All consultations are complimentary. Results acheived with our Facial Fillers

Results will vary with each type of filler and the number of treatments you receive. Patients typically see a reduction in wrinkles, fine lines, scars, or asymmetrical features. Improving the look of your skin will make you look younger and enhance your natural features, and it can be accomplished with a simple, minimally-invasive procedure.

Preserve natural expression and motion with Facial Fillers

At ZL we utilize modern facial fillers that allow for smooth and natural motion, all while reducing the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and hollows. The ideal outcome from facial filler placement is a refreshed look, not tight or stiff when talking or laughing. Expressions are a crucial part of our unspoken communication and appearance. The ideal filler is flexible enough to allow for natural looking emotion and expressions.

Cost of Facial Fillers

At ZL we believe all treatments should be customized to the individual. The cost of treatment varies based on the area being treated, the type of filler, the longevity of the filler, and the amount of time needed to complete the injection. A consultation is required for new clients prior to booking any filler injections (with the exception of lip filler, in which a consultation is included in the visit). Prices are inclusive of follow up visits to ensure the final result meets the clients treatment expectations. Please call our office to schedule your consultation (link to schedule).
